Tandem IMS runs a virtual telephone system based on IP (VoIP = Voice over IP), offering a wide feature set.
Anyone who has a personal phone number has it set up, based on individual needs. This includes the decision from which number is being called out, whether an answering machine is set-up or it diverts after some time to another main phone number, how long it rings before it goes to answering machine/is diverted, what happens when busy, etc.
If any parameters need to be changed, that you cannot do yourself, please fill in an IT request form with a quick explanation what you would like to have adapted or what problem you are experiencing.
If you have your personal phone number, you can choose between these options (combination possible):
Desk phone - manual phone for your desk
Phone App - follow the instructions received in your welcome email to use the app on your phone
Desktop App - follow the instructions received in your welcome email to use the app on your laptop/computer
Under «Contacts» you will find all internal phone numbers
Listen to & manage your answering machine messages by clicking on «Voicemail»
Change your phone availability manually by clicking on the coloured square on the right top corner. You can choose between these different status options:
Green - Available - here you can make some basic changes (i.e. change how long it rings before it goes to voicemail)
Orange - Away - here you can write a personalised status message that internal callers can see in the app & you can change to whom the phone should be forwarded to during your absence
Red - Do not disturb - here you can also put a message if you want to and you can
Light Green - Lunch - you can customise this setting to say something else with individual parameters
Light Rose - ?? - immediate internal and external forward that you can rename personally for i.e. «Meeting» where all calls go directly to voicemail
«Set Status Temporarily» - use for absences where it can change this status automatically back to «Available» after the set time frame
--> make sure to change back the availability of your phone once you are no longer busy/absent (except for the "Set Status Temporarily").
